James received his Juris Doctorate and was licensed to practice law in 1985 following graduation from Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Houston, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1982.
Legal service experience in general commercial litigation, real estate, business planning, family retirement planning including strategic use of QDROs; defending toxic exposure and product liability claims, as well as service in his community as an elected prosecutor and advisor to County government, has provide James with experience to anticipate, plan for and avoid risks. Risks are part of life but risk assessment and management can be accomplished through strategic planning and a thorough understanding of a client’s circumstances and goals.
James and his wife Laura have six (6) children, four (4) children-in-laws, and best of all, two wonderful grandchildren. All of their children were homeschooled.
